Unaltered.

First of all we had a sweet ride! We rented a new van (see pics in the gallery) and all started dreaming of getting a youth group van of our own! We left the church parking lot about 6 pm drove to Grants Pass for the "Silver Ring Thing" and their new "Unaltered" tour. What is it? From their website: "Silver Ring Thing is a radical response to culture’s view of love and relationships.  Our events inspire teens to defy the meet-up, hook-up, break-up culture of today and discover true life found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. This goes way beyond 'purity' to embrace our identity and pursue a lifestyle that brings honor and glory to God. Since 1995, SRT has hosted more than 1,200 events, reaching nearly 700,000 people. We are excited to partner and impact the students and families in YOUR community with the truth of God's plan. "

There was great music, great performances, and inspiring testimonies from young people passionately wanting to reach other young people for Jesus Christ. They reminded us to look past the casual, temporary, feel-good relationships our world embraces today, and find true belonging, healing and power with God living in us! Only with God can we begin to live unaltered from the brokenness of this world.

Afterwards we went to Taco Bell because we were starving, and finally arrived home about 10 pm. Apologies for such a late night, but I think it was worth it!
