That. Was. Crazy.

I've never before experienced anything like it. The idea of a food fight was fun, but I got really nervous when it came time to start. When we counted down to start - 3, 2, 1 - it suddenly became a blur. I remember ketchup being squirted across my neck and face, and suddenly my goggles were smeared with some kind of pudding or cottage cheese (not sure which and guess it doesn't matter). I suddenly thought, "I'm not sure I can make it through this!" When the bags of flour were dropped like a bomb by a few people on the group, it was like the icing on the cake of utter disaster. So much adrenaline, so much chaos, and such a mess like I've never seen before!

I have to admit that watching the smiles on everyone's faces getting ready for the battle and watching the smiles afterward even after being plastered with disgustingness was totally worth it.

We studied John 15 afterwards. Jesus is encouraging His disciples saying in this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer because I have overcome the world. He talks about letting His Word remain in our lives so our joy can be full. Somehow, for me at least, it seemed easier to understand what He was saying after coming through a trauma like we had just experienced. We had mayonnaise mixed with garlic mixed with relish and who-knows-what-else still in our hair! And yet we were still smiling! Jesus says His Word in our hearts can help us smile through any trouble this world brings us. We left with a challenge to let Jesus speak through His Word to us this week.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYONE WHO CAME AND PARTICIPATED! I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT EXPERIENCE AND I'M SO GLAD TO HAVE ENJOYED IT WITH EACH ONE OF YOU!!!

We have another fun experience ahead for today if you're able to make it. Super Bowl party at my house at 3 pm. Come hungry and ready to chill and cheer on either the Patriots or the Rams! Hope to see you!!!
